Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Family-friendly places like Linnanmaki Amusement Park and Aurinkolahti Beach will thrill your kids. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Rock Church, get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, and admire nature's wide array of creatures at Korkeasaari Zoo.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 6th (Sun), take in the views from Lumberjack's Candle Bridge, make a trip to Lordi's Square, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally get in on the family fun at Santa Claus Village. On the 7th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get in on the family fun at SantaPark, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church.

You can fly from Helsinki to Rovaniemi in 4 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Traveling from Helsinki in January, things will get slightly colder in Rovaniemi: highs are around -10°C and lows about -17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Mon) so you can go by car to Levi.

Kick off your visit on the 8th (Tue): get your game on at Kid's Land, don't miss a visit to LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery, then admire all the interesting features of Ice Karting Levi, and finally don't miss a visit to Snow Village. Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Thu): step into the grandiose world of Turku Castle, then stroll through Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, then see the interesting displays at Luostarinmaki Handicrafts Museum, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the natural beauty at Kultaranta Garden, then have fun at Moomin World, then see the interesting displays at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, and finally browse the collection at Turku City Library.
