Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Turku Castle and Kuusisto Manor will appeal to history buffs. Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova and Luostarinmaki Handicrafts Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Take a break from Turku with a short trip to Kurjenrahka National Park in Poytya, about 56 minutes away. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, make a trip to Kultaranta Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral, and trek along The Archipelago Trail.
