  • My wife and I love to visit national parks in Finland. There you can always find a marked-up route, passing to the most beautiful places, comfortable parking, equipped with everything you need for a picnic. There are trails and Park Kolovesi. But its main chip is not in this-you can make a very interesting water journey. It is possible for an hour, a day, a few days-and the weather. For this purpose it is necessary to arrive at the point of "Kirkkoranta". Here on the shore lie two dozen various canoe and kayak rental. Rent them via a Web page (see the photo with price), or, as we did, by calling directly from the shore at the specified there, and having told his credit card number. In response, they told us the lock code from the closet with oars and vests. And the journey has begun! Nature is gorgeous. You can find the equipped parking spaces, and can be secluded wild coves to swim in clean water.

  • Nice park, within a big lake. The hiking options are very limited so this park is more for canoes. You can rent them on site at Kirkkoranta, contact SaimaaHoliday Oravi and Kolovesi tel. +358 44 274 7...  more »
  • The peace of nature - ah!! Opportunity to see endangered ringed seals, beavers etc. at close range. Fantastic scenery by canoeing... Encampment is possible only in specified areas and they can be congested. Also some of the chassis for the tents are out of order (the area is rocky and mostly it's hard to find other places to put the tent). But exellent fire places and well maintained dry toilets.
  • Good services and route signs and of course the park itself is stunning! Best way to explore the park is of course with cayak, but i would also advice to walk a bit in the beautifull islands and nature paths.
