But I guess anyway even in the other periods will not be too different. It is cold, but you do not suffer, because there is no wind and the heat clothing provided by the organization is effective. The sledges are for two persons: a conductor and a passenger, who, if desired, can invert the roles in half-way. Driving the sled is really technically simple: it is just a matter of acting on the brake, which is a horizontal bar on which you need to climb with one foot to slow down the stroke and with both feet to stop. But it is not a completely relaxing exercise, because its continuous repetition can induce a certain fatigue. For the rest, the track is dug on the ground and the dogs follow it spontaneously without problems: departing they are hot and almost anxious to vent, then during the course they seem to progressively feel the fatigue, even having no problems to get to the Finish line. The staff is vigilant and accompanies in snowmobiling the caravan, ready to materialize immediately, if necessary: Usually, when a few slips slows down and is reached by the next. In Short: A highly recommended experience. The dawn rush, in the silence of the forest, is a kind of excursion in the dream, destined to remain etched in memory.
Den yngste i familien er husky-hunde-elsker, så selvfølglig skulle vi prøve at have vores egen tur med en hundeslæde. - Og hvilken oplevelse! You simply must not cheat yourself for this once you have come to Lapland. Of course, it costs a nice slat money, but it also does so if you have to buy access for example. Disneyland... And it was worth the money. Cute guide, nice driver (who drove us out there) nice with all the warm clothes and not least the hot boots which are included in the price. Yes, we were probably a little "in love" in Lapland....
One of the most amazing experiences as I have ever done. The team are very experienced and make you feel at ease. The instructions were delivered with humour and clear and precise. After gripping the sled for dear life initially for fear you come off after 10 minutes you start to relax and feel you are more in control as the wonderful Huskies pull you along through varied terrain on a thrill of a lifetime. One of the team links up at certain points via a snowmobile to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. At halfway there is an opportunity for the person in sled to swap over and try the mushing. It's a must do for all. Afterwards there is time to meet and pet the amazing Huskies and talk to the team. We never felt rushed and got lots of photo opportunities and treasured videos. Absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Bear Hills Huskies to anyone. The experience was the right length, felt safe and never rushed. You could feel the team were proud of what they did and wanted you to feel this love as much as they do. Highly recommend you add this to your bucket list.
Absolutely loved the husky sleigh experience! Definitely worth the expense. We went with our two daughters, aged 10 and 7. We all felt it was one of the highlights of our lives! Be sure to layer up well as even with the extra clothes and boots the team give you it's still cold. Thanks to the team and the huskies for an amazing afternoon in snowy paradise 😊 Eileen, Donal, Katie and Aine
