  • The views of the castle from outside are very impressive. However the towers are closed at the moment due to covid. Therefore I didn't think it was worth paying the 12 euros entrance fee.  more »
  • Great medieval castle with interesting history between two northern powers, Sweden and Novgorod, later Russia. Definitely worth seeing, if visiting the city.
  • I was visiting Savonlinna Opera festival. The performance was talented, the area was nice, everything was working. Not an easy access area!
