A valuable living building already from the outside and as the age has been repeated for centuries (114) so well has survived:) An inexpensive destination for a guided tour for children under 16 yrs only €35. The guide was professional and was very awake when it came to the theology of whose interest might little be so and so. 50 min Round, 4 elements was the name of the exhibition. Well-divided and everyone's interest remained above. Easy to book your own guided tour. The museum also has a good café and if there is no desire in the lobby or café side to enjoy their shopping so always can, weather permitting, move to the outdoor terrace and with the terns down the city's pulse rate. The lobby and the café, however, are a bit noisy and loud places when people come and go. There are different exhibitions at the moment, so there is a choice and the exhibitions are regularly changed. I have a brief respite from the high culture.
This exhibition on the 4 elements doesn’t really work, just a pretext to exhibit a bit of this and that with no coherence, nothing has really been thought: “There’s lot of red in this painting? Let’s just hang it in the “fire” room!”. That’s about it... A few splendid pieces make the visit worth it though.
Beautiful historical building on an excellent location in Puolala Park over the rooftops of the City of Turku. High quality art exhibitions changing frequently. Beautiful, friendly cafe inside and summertime also outside with views over the city center. Also a place for iconic Turku pictures.
