  • Vaasa City Hall is located on the Senate street in Vaasa. The construction of the house was decided in 1875 when the city had sold 1864 C. A. Sterberg's Town hall to school in the 1872. The city had to build a new administration house within five years of being postponed every couple of times. The building was drawn by the architect Magnus Isaeus from Stockholm, and the house was completed in 1883. The house has also been used for a long time as a fire station, as well as various cultural events. The House of the style is mostly of neo-Baroque style. The Senate of Independent Finland served in the premises of Vaasa provincial 30.01.1918 and subsequently moved to the premises of Vaasa City Hall from 16.03.1918 until 3.5.1918 when it moved to Helsinki.
