Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Thu): get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, look for gifts at Taiga Colors, then hunt for treasures at Market Square Kauppatori, and finally browse the range of quality goods at Stockmann's Department Store. Here are some ideas for day two: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then hunt for treasures at Hakaniemi Market, then get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Finland, and finally admire the masterpieces at Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sat): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Turku Cathedral, then explore the ancient world of Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, and then step into the grandiose world of Turku Castle. Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 3rd (Tue), pause for some serene contemplation at Lauritsala Church and then admire the sheer force of Imatra Waterfall. On your second day here, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Joutsenon kirkko, explore the activities along Saimaa Canal, then head off the coast to Malonsaari, and finally step off the mainland to explore Lammassaari Island.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Mariehamn to Imatra in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and train.
