Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. Shop till you drop at Market Square Kauppatori and Kamppi Shopping Centre. Change things up with a short trip to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo (about 48 minutes away). There's much more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Temppeliaukio Church, get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Vitikkala Manor and Galleria Ronga. Step out of the city life by going to Hatanpaa Arboretum and Riihiniemen Uimaranta. Go for a jaunt from Tampere to Ylojarvi to see Seitsemisen Kansallispuisto about 1 hour away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Rauhaniemi Beach, get engrossed in the history at Emil Aaltosen Museo, and view the masterpieces at Haihara Art Centre.

Traveling by car from Helsinki to Tampere takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Wed) to allow time to take a train to Turku.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
On the 25th (Thu), enjoy the sand and surf at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, take a stroll through Naantali Old Town, then step into the grandiose world of Turku Castle, and finally explore the landscape on two wheels at Bike Rental - by Carfield. On the 26th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Turku Cathedral, shop like a local with Photographic Centre Peri, then enjoy the sand and surf at Vepsa Island, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Galleria Joella.
