Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Archangel Michael's church, buy something for everyone on your list at Turun Kauppahalli, then see the interesting displays at Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum, and finally explore the galleries of Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. Here are some ideas for day two: enjoy some diversion at Moomin World, explore the historical opulence of Turku Castle, and then brush up on your military savvy at Forum Marinum.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): see the sky in a new way at Sarkanniemi Adventure Park.
