Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Start off your visit on the 3rd (Fri): let the kids burn off some steam at Katariina Seaside Park, enjoy breathtaking views from Haukkavuori Lookout Tower, get engrossed in the history at Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum, take a stroll through Hamina Old Town, then admire the striking features of Hamina Town Hall, and finally admire the striking features of Hamina Fortress. Keep things going the next day: take a stroll through Linden Esplanade, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Maretarium, stroll around Sapokka Water Garden, then steep yourself in history at Kotka Church, then stroll around Sibelius Park, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
