Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Pack the 26th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. And it doesn't end there: step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, and get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Fri): explore the landscape on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. Here are some ideas for day two: make a trip to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, then get a taste of the local shopping with LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery, and finally get great views at Huippupolku, Peak Trail in Levi.

You can fly from Helsinki to Levi in 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Helsinki in December, things will get slightly colder in Levi: highs are around -6°C and lows about -15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Sun): see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, see Santa Claus Office, then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, and finally revel in the low prices at Marttiini Store Old Factory. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 31st (Mon): find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and then make a trip to Lordi's Square.

Drive from Levi to Rovaniemi in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In December, daily temperatures in Rovaniemi can reach -6°C, while at night they dip to -13°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 31st (Mon) so you can travel back home.
