Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.Get outdoors at Nature & Wildlife Tours and Dive Finland Oy. Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with these side-trips from Helsinki: Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo) and Tuusulanjarvi (Lake Tuusula) (in Tuusula). There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kamppi Chapel of Silence, identify plant and animal life at Laajalahti Nature Reserve, and wander the streets of Katajanokka.
