Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Hakaniemi Market, Temppeliaukio Church and Old Market Hall. Head to Market Square Kauppatori and Galleria Lapinlahtifor plenty of shopping. Museum-lovers will get to explore Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Galerie Forsblom. Step out of Helsinki to go to Lahti and see Sibelius Hall, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. Milan, Italy to Helsinki is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Milan to Helsinki. Traveling from Milan in August, expect Helsinki to be a bit cooler, temps between 24°C and 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Wed) early enough to go by car to Turku.

Turku

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): buy something for everyone on your list at Turun Kauppahalli, browse the exhibits of Turku Castle, then see the interesting displays at Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo, and finally gain insight at Turku Cathedral.
