An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Venture out of the city with trips to Inari (Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, &more). There's still lots to do: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, gear up at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort, explore the wealth of natural beauty at Urho Kekkonen National Park, and pause for some serene contemplation at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. Spend the 8th (Thu) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. Next up on the itinerary: join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, stroll through Yllas Ski Resort, admire all the interesting features of Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm, and look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental.
