An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Step out of Levi to go to Kittila and see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, which is approximately 46 minutes away. Spend the 6th (Sun) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's much more to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, and fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort.

Traveling by car from Rovaniemi to Levi takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In March, daytime highs in Levi are 31°F, while nighttime lows are 16°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Saariselka.

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
On the 9th (Wed), hit the slopes at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour. Here are some ideas for day two: get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos and then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.
