Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Step out of the city life by going to Levi Ski Resort and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Attractions like Kids' Land and Elan Ski Shop & Rental make great kid-friendly stops. When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. And it doesn't end there: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, visit Inghams Mini Husky Experience, look for all kinds of wild species at Wingrens Dogsafaris, and make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures.

Barcelona, Spain to Levi is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Barcelona to Levi. Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Barcelona in December: high temperatures in Levi hover around -6°C and lows are around -15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Saariselka.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Start off your visit on the 4th (Tue): surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, then look for gifts at Hippupuoti Gift Shop, then see the interesting displays at Gold Prospector Museum, and finally find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: fly down the slopes at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort.

You can drive from Levi to Saariselka in 3.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In January, daytime highs in Saariselka are -11°C, while nighttime lows are -20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Attractions like Safaris and Santa Claus Office make great kid-friendly stops. Take a break from the city and head to Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy and Syvasenvaara Fell. There's lots more to do: find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, look for gifts at LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, see the interesting displays at Christmas House Santa, and get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.

Traveling by car from Saariselka to Rovaniemi takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In January in Rovaniemi, expect temperatures between -10°C during the day and -17°C at night. On the 9th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
