Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 27th (Fri): get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos, then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church. Here are some ideas for day two: experience rural life at Tuula's Reindeer, then experience rural life at Inari Reindeer Farm, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church.

Muonio is a municipality of Finland.The town is located in far northern Finland above the Arctic Circle on the country's western border, within the area of the former Lappi province. Kick off your visit on the 29th (Sun): explore the striking landscape of Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park. On your second day here, examine the collection at Muonion Kotiseutumuseo, contemplate the long history of Keimioniemi Fishing Cabins, and then hit the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort.

Kittilä is a municipality of Finland and a popular holiday resort.It is located in northern Finland north of the Arctic Circle within the Lapland region. Start off your visit on the 31st (Tue): grab your bike and head to Levi Ski Resort. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, then gear up at Elan Ski Shop & Rental, then explore the galleries of LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery, and finally get your game on at Kids' Land.

Getting from Muonio to Kittila by car takes about an hour. In December in Kittila, expect temperatures between -5°C during the day and -15°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Wed) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Thu): don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, take an exotic tour of a safari tour, then enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office, and finally don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village. Keep things going the next day: find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church.

Traveling by car from Kittila to Rovaniemi takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Kittila in January, Rovaniemi is a bit warmer at night with lows of -17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 4th (Sat) to allow time for the flight back home.
