An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Escape the urban bustle at Ranua Zoo and Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Rovaniemi: Ski Resort Ritavalkea (in Pello), Amethyst Mine Lapland (in Luosto) and Pyha-Luosto National Park (in Pyhatunturi).
