Encompassing historical cities, swathes of countryside, and a stunning coastline, Western Finland offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Natural History Museum of Central Finland and Haralanharju Tower. Get out of town with these interesting Western Finland side-trips: Mantta-Vilppula (Serlachius Museum Gustaf & Gösta Serlachius Museum, Museum of Art), Petajavesi Old Church (in Petajavesi) and Jyvaskyla (Jyvaskyla Art Museum, The Craft Museum of Finland, &more). There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at St Olaf's Church in Tyrvaa, don't miss a visit to Aalto Center of Seinajoki, identify plant and animal life at Evo Hiking Area, and fly down the slopes at Himos Ski Resort.
