Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Helsinki is known for historic sites, shopping, and museums. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: deepen your knowledge of military history at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, browse the exhibits of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral.

Porvoo, one of Finland's oldest and prettiest towns, boasts cobbled streets, famous red-brick warehouses, and a charming river.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Wed): steep yourself in history at The Runeberg Home, then visit a coastal fixture at Söderskärin majakka, then admire the landmark architecture of Cathedral of Porvoo, and finally make a trip to Porvoo Old Town.
