Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Start off your visit on the 9th (Sat): stroll around Sibelius Park, see the interesting displays at Maritime Centre Vellamo, thenhike along Santalahti Nature Trail, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Marian Kirkko. Keep things going the next day: take in nature's colorful creations at Sapokka Water Garden, walk around Riverside Park, contemplate the long history of Kotka Church, thenwander the streets of Linden Esplanade, and finally step off the mainland to explore Varissaari - Fort Elisabeth.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
