Get some cultural insight at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Cathedral of Porvoo. Discover out-of-the-way places like Nuuksio National Park and The National Museum of Finland. Take a break from Helsinki with a short trip to Porvoo Old Town in Porvoo, about 50 minutes away. Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 22nd (Thu), brush up on your military savvy at Kollaa- Ja Simo Hayha -Museo, then pause for some serene contemplation at Rautjarven kirkko, then enjoy the sand and surf at Lempukka Beach, and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall.
