Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Get in touch with nature at Kurjenrahka National Park and The Archipelago Trail. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Turku Castle and Utö. Change things up with a short trip to Louhisaari Manor in Askainen (about 38 minutes away). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Archangel Michael's church, explore the ancient world of Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, and see the interesting displays at Biological Museum.

For photos, other places to visit, traveler tips, and more tourist information, refer to the Turku itinerary builder.

Keep things going the next day: examine the collection at Aland Hunting & Fishing Museum, then stroll through Kobba Klintar, and then contemplate the long history of Jan Karlsgården Outdoor museum Jan Karlsgården.
