Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Katajanokka. Let the collections at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and The National Museum of Finland capture your imagination. There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church.
