Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get a sense of the local culture at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Katajanokka. There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, stroll through Aurinkolahti Beach, take an in-depth tour of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali).

Brno, Czech Republic to Helsinki is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of train and flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and ferry. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time (CET) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET), which is usually a 1 hour difference. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Brno in June: high temperatures in Helsinki hover around 21°C and lows are around 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) early enough to drive to Kotka.

Kotka

Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. On the 14th (Sun), visit Linden Esplanade, then enjoy the sand and surf at Lehman, and then steep yourself in history at Stromforsin Ruukki. On your second day here, wander the streets of Hamina Old Town, enjoy the sand and surf at Aijanniemi Beach, and then kick back and relax at Beach Mansikkalahti.

Getting from Helsinki to Kotka by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. In June, daily temperatures in Kotka can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Naantali.

Naantali

Naantali is a town in south-western Finland, known as one of the most important tourist centres of the country. Start off your visit on the 16th (Tue): get engrossed in the history at Ett Hem Museum, then work off some steam at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, then explore the historical opulence of Turku Castle, and finally make a trip to Naantali Old Town.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Get some cultural insight at Pihamaa Estate & Winery and Automobile & Road Museum Mobilia. Visit Yyteri Beach and Rauhaniemi Beach for some beach relaxation. Get out of town with these interesting Tampere side-trips: Villa Mairea (in Noormarkku) and Vitikkala Manor (in Jamsa).
