An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Bring the kids along to Santa Claus Village and Arktikum. Go for a jaunt from Rovaniemi to Ranua to see Ranua Zoo about 1 hour away. Next up on the itinerary: look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, see where the action happens at Lappi Areena, don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, and enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Attractions like Temppeliaukio Church and Sea Fortress Suomenlinna make great kid-friendly stops. Pack the 15th (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park.
