Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Turku Cathedral and Mannerheim Museum. Do some cultural sightseeing at Katajanokka and Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo). You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Turku (Bike Rental - by Carfield & Turku Castle) and Heureka (in Vantaa). There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Johannes Church, take in nature's colorful creations at Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden, contemplate the long history of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, and snap pictures at Rakkauden Silta.

Inari

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Discover out-of-the-way places like Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort. Step out of the city life by going to Lapland Safaris Saariselka and Juutua Nature Trail. Change things up with these side-trips from Inari: Saariselka (Urho Kekkonen National Park & Ruijanpolku Trail).
