Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Aurinkolahti Beach and Hietaranta Beach. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Fortress of Suomenlinna and Ullanlinna. Change things up with a short trip to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo (about 48 minutes away). Pack the 9th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. The adventure continues: stroll through Helsinki Zoo, steep yourself in history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Rock Church, and pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): kick back and relax at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, then examine the collection at Luostarinmaki Handicrafts Museum, and then hike along Kurjenrahka National Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: hike along The Archipelago Trail, admire the natural beauty at Kultaranta Garden, then enjoy some diversion at Moomin World, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Turku Cathedral.
