Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Kotka (Sapokka Water Garden & Maritime Centre Vellamo), Porvoo (The Devil's Stairs, Porvoo Old Town, &more) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). Pack the 22nd (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. Spend the 28th (Sun) exploring nature at Teijo National Park. There's lots more to do: step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church, and make a trip to Senate Square.
