Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.

You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Aurlahti Beach and Kallahdenniemi Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Nuuksio National Park and Hietaranta Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Hiidenkirnut (in Askola), Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo, Porvoo Old Town, &more) and Heureka (in Vantaa). There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Sapokka Water Garden, walk around Kaivopuisto, see the interesting displays at Maritime Centre Vellamo, and get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.
