Helsinki

— 9 nights

Daughter of the Baltic

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Shop till you drop at Riimikko and Market Square Kauppatori. Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Hiidenkirnut (in Askola), Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto (in Vantaa) and Espoo (Nuuksio National Park, Haltia, &more). Spend the 11th (Fri) exploring nature at Teijo National Park. There's still lots to do: get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, take a stroll around Sibelius Hall, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, and identify plant and animal life at Arboretum Mustila.
