An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Lieksa is a town and municipality of Finland.It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the North Karelia region. Take a break from the city and head to Akka-Koli Hill and Kolinuuron kierros Nature Trail. Get out of town with these interesting Lieksa side-trips: Koli National Park (Rasavaara Observation tower, Paimenen Polku Trail, &more). There's more to do: explore the striking landscape of Patvinsuon Kansallispuisto and head outdoors with Neitikoski Rapids.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sat): look for gifts at Tammelantori, then stroll through Riihiniemen Uimaranta, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Rauhaniemi Beach. On your second day here, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Sarkanniemi Theme Park.

Kick off your visit on the 19th (Mon): admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, browse the eclectic array of goods at Old Market Hall, then pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, then stop by Katajanokka, and finally step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna.
