Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Sun): head off the coast to Vepsa Island and then explore the wealth of natural beauty at Kurjenrahka National Park. Here are some ideas for day two: tour the pleasant surroundings at The Archipelago Trail, then enjoy some diversion at Moomin World, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get outdoors at Aurinkolahti Beach and Nuuksio National Park. Bring the kids along to Linnanmaki Amusement Park and Hietaranta Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Sibelius Hall (in Lahti) and Valkmusa National Park (in Siltakyla). There's still lots to do: brush up on your military savvy at Fortress of Suomenlinna, pick up some local products at Hietalahti Market, browse the eclectic array of goods at Old Market Hall, and look for gifts at Marimekko.
