Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. Kick off your visit on the 19th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort. On your second day here, stroll through Urho Kekkonen National Park.
