An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Tue): see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, see Santa Claus Office, and then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village. Get out of town with these interesting Levi side-trips: Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila) and Safaris (in Akaslompolo). Spend the 14th (Fri) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. Next up on the itinerary: join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, hit the slopes at Kids' Land, stroll through Yllas Ski Resort, and shop like a local with Elan Ski Shop & Rental.
