Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Rock Church. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Old Market Hall and Artisaani. When in Helsinki, make a side trip to see Nuuksio National Park in Espoo, approximately 46 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), wander the streets of Katajanokka, and soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sun): shop like a local with Photographic Centre Peri, kick back and relax at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, and then browse the different shops at Kauppakeskus Mylly. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 7th (Mon): step off the mainland to explore Vepsa Island, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St Henry's Ecumenical Art Chappel, then shop like a local with Galleria Joella, and finally buy something for everyone on your list at Turun Kauppahalli.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Tue): enjoy the sand and surf at Riihiniemen Uimaranta, then view the masterpieces at Laukko Manor, then shop like a local with Galleria Ronga, and finally look for gifts at Keittioelamaa. Keep things going the next day: relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, then kick back and relax at Rauhaniemi Beach, then get a taste of the local shopping with Haihara Art Centre, and finally steep yourself in history at Amuri Museum of Workers' Housing.

Traveling by train from Turku to Tampere takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of flight and train. In January, plan for daily highs up to -5°C, and evening lows to -12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Levi.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Thu): stroll through Levi Ski Resort. On your second day here, enjoy some diversion at Kid's Land, stop by Elan Ski Shop & Rental, then explore and take pictures at Ice Karting Levi, and finally take a stroll through Ounasjoki - River for activities.

Getting from Tampere to Levi by combination of flight and bus takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of train, flight, and bus; or drive. In January, Levi is a bit cooler than Tampere - with highs of -11°C and lows of -21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Fri) so you can drive to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Sat): see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, stop by LAURI, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and finally make a trip to Lordi's Square.
