Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get some historical perspective at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. Appreciate the collections at Kansallisgalleria and The National Museum of Finland. Step out of Helsinki to go to Espoo and see Nuuksio National Park, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's much more to do: browse the eclectic array of goods at Hakaniemi Market, pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and browse the exhibits of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.
