Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get a sense of the local culture at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. Step out of Helsinki with an excursion to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo--about 46 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Katajanokka, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Rock Church, make a trip to The Esplanadi Park, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, examine the collection at Siida, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church.

Fly from Helsinki to Inari in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Helsinki in April, with highs in Inari at 3°C and lows at -6°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Akaslompolo.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): find something for the whole family at Santa Claus Village, wander the wide-open spaces of Poro Farmi, and then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. On the next day, fly down the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, then don't miss a visit to Marttiinin Wanha Tehdas, and finally stop by Your Piece Of Finland.

Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Kick off your visit on the 18th (Thu): wander the streets of Hamina Old Town, then look for all kinds of wild species at Riverside Park, then take a stroll through Linden Esplanade, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Beach Mansikkalahti. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Fri): pause for some serene contemplation at Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry, then identify plant and animal life at Arboretum Mustila, and then take a peaceful walk through Niivermaki Nature Conservation Area.
