An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Thu): see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then have some family-friendly fun at Snowman World Igloo Hotel, and then make a trip to Santa Claus Village. Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Kids will enjoy Santalahti Nature Trail and Riverside Park. Change things up with these side-trips from Kotka: Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki), Niivermaki Nature Conservation Area (in Kouvola) and Hiidenvuori (in Iitti).
