Kemi is a town and municipality of Finland. On the 1st (Mon), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kemi Church and then stop by Icebreaker Sampo. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: explore the world behind art at Kemin Jalokivigalleria (Kemi Gemstone Gallery), tee off at Tornio Golf, then get engrossed in the history at The Provincial Museum Of Tornio Valley, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Tornio Church.

Tampere to Kemi is an approximately 5-hour combination of train and flight. You can also take a train; or drive. In April, Kemi is slightly colder than Tampere - with highs of 4°C and lows of -5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Get in touch with nature at Safaris and Syvasenvaara Fell. Museum-lovers will get to explore Arktikum and Pilke Science Centre. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, and enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office.

Drive from Kemi to Rovaniemi in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 3°C in April, and nighttime lows around -3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) so you can go by car to Levi.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Visiting Levi Ski Resort and Safaris will get you outdoors. LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery and Gold Prospector Museum will appeal to museum buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Levi side-trips: Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila), Seven Fells Up (in Akaslompolo) and Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park (in Muonio). There's still lots to do: hit the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort, join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, take a stroll through Ounasjoki - River for activities, and look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

You can drive from Rovaniemi to Levi in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In April, daytime highs in Levi are 3°C, while nighttime lows are -4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Fri) to allow time to travel back home.
