An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Kick off your visit on the 11th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Gold Prospector Museum, then stroll through Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel. Keep things going the next day: stop by Shamaan Design - Lappi Shop, then examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then get in on the family fun at Angry Birds Activity Park.
