Kemi

Kemi is a town and municipality of Finland. On the 9th (Wed), visit Icebreaker Sampo, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Tornio Church, then admire the masterpieces at Kemin Jalokivigalleria (Kemi Gemstone Gallery), and finally admire the landmark architecture of Kemi Church.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Thu): make a trip to Santa Claus Village, then make a trip to Santa Claus Office, and then find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus. Here are some ideas for day two: get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church, and finally make a trip to Lordi's Square.

You can drive from Kemi to Rovaniemi in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. In January, plan for daily highs up to -10°C, and evening lows to -17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Luosto.

Nestled among vast forests and fells, Luosto represents a small idyllic resort village set on the edge of Pyha-Luosto National Park.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Sat): look for all kinds of wild species at Kopara Reindeer Park and then discover the riches below the earth's surface at Amethyst Mine Lapland.

Levi

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. Spend the 16th (Wed) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort.
