Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Change things up with a short trip to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo (about 48 minutes away). There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, make a trip to Senate Square, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and appreciate the extensive heritage of The Esplanadi Park.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): stroll through Poro Farmi, then take an exotic tour of a safari tour, and then make a trip to Santa Claus Village. Here are some ideas for day two: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour and then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum.
