Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Haihara Art Centre and Vapriikin Museokeskus. Take a break from the city and head to Seitsemisen Kansallispuisto and Hatanpaa Arboretum. Pack the 17th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Sarkanniemi Theme Park. There's more to do: shop like a local with Galleria Ronga and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tampereen Tuomiokirkko.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Sat): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, then get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, then stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, and finally see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
For shopping fun, head to Market Square Kauppatori or Artisaani. Do some cultural sightseeing at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral. Step out of Helsinki with an excursion to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo--about 48 minutes away. There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, stop by Ullanlinna, wander the streets of Katajanokka, and get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park.
