Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 30th (Mon), get engrossed in the history at Forestry Museum of Lapland, have some family-friendly fun at Snowman World Igloo Hotel, then make a trip to Santa Claus Village, and finally see the interesting displays at Christmas House Santa. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: see Santa Claus Office, fly down the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, then examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, then get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, and finally make a trip to Lordi's Square.

Ranua is a municipality of Finland.It is located in the province of Lapland. Do some cultural sightseeing at Kierikki Stone Age Centre and Pentik Hill. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ranua Zoo and Kotielainpuisto Arkadia. Get out of town with these interesting Ranua side-trips: Ruka (in Kuusamo), Kemi (Perameren Kansallispuisto & Kemi Church) and Ski Resort Suomutunturi (in Suomu).
