Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
On the 22nd (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Rock Church, pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), then wander the streets of Katajanokka, and finally steep yourself in history at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: identify plant and animal life at Nuuksio National Park.

Rovaniemi

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 24th (Fri), don't miss a visit to Marttiinin Wanha Tehdas, take an exotic tour of a safari tour, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally find something for the whole family at Santa Claus Village. On your second day here, make a trip to Lordi's Square and then get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus.

Traveling by flight from Helsinki to Rovaniemi takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. On the 26th (Sun), take in the pleasant sights at Otsamo Fell, see the interesting displays at Siida, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 27th (Mon): explore and take pictures at Inari Reindeerfarm and then get into the urban bustle at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos.
