Start off your visit on the 30th (Sat): admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, explore the different monuments and memorials at Hietaniemi Cemetery, thentake in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), thenstep into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral. Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Take a break from the city and head to Bellevue Beach and Teijo National Park. Discover out-of-the-way places like Turku Cathedral and Vepsa Island.
