Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Turku Castle and Turku Cathedral. Let the collections at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova and Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum capture your imagination. Take a break from Turku with a short trip to Kurjenrahka National Park in Poytya, about 50 minutes away. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, hike along The Archipelago Trail, delve into the distant past at Kuusisto Bishop's Castle, and get lost in a book at Turku City Main Library.
