Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Step out of Levi to go to Kittila and see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage, which is approximately 46 minutes away. Spend the 27th (Mon) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's lots more to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures, stop by Elan Ski Shop & Rental, and visit Inghams Mini Husky Experience.

Zurich, Switzerland to Levi is an approximately 10-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Zurich to Levi. Traveling from Zurich in December, expect nights in Levi to be colder, around -15°C, while days are slightly colder, around -6°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Wed) so you can travel to Saariselka.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Explore Saariselka's surroundings by going to Inari (Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus & Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center). There's much more to do: get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, stroll through Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel, and find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park.

Traveling by flight from Levi to Saariselka takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around -7°C in December, and nighttime lows around -17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Sat) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Venture out of the city with trips to Arctic Husky Farm (in Pelkosenniemi) and Luosto (Amethyst Mine Lapland & Kopara Reindeer Park). There's much more to do: find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, examine the collection at Christmas House Santa, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, and get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.

Drive from Saariselka to Rovaniemi in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In January in Rovaniemi, expect temperatures between -10°C during the day and -17°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
